Excersize by Running, Jogging or Walking
In Cocoa Beach, Florida
Living in a beach cottage neighborhood with beautiful tropical plants and Florida homes, I often run or jog several miles to get the lead out. It's always a good way to start your day with a forty minute run and end it with a long walk on the beach.
Running is getting a little more challenging for me during the summer, Florida's heat is stifling and very demotivating, but I can count on my husband and daughters to kick me in the butt and run or walk with me.
How long of a distance do I run? I almost always run a perfect 5K (3.2 miles) from our house and along the back street to the corner of SR 520 or down to Ron Jon's Surf Shop and back. You'll see many couples and individuals along the way getting there daily exercise.
Over the years, I find that my body really needs the excersize like running and swimming, but I also enjoy Yoga in my backyard and then a dip in the hot tub afterwards.
There are many places to run in Cocoa Beach and get excersize when you're visiting. Bicycling, running, swimming can all be done directly on the harder packed beaches or find a back road and a swimming pool at the resort or hotel you're staying at to take a dip.
However you like to exercise, running is one of the easiest and cheapest ways to stay in shape, whether you're on vacation in Cocoa Beach or home.
