Christmas 2010 at Cocoa Beach
Celebrating the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ is such an exciting time of the year. We enjoy the Christmas holidays with many activities and festivities. For our family we have always kept to the true meaning of Christmas and are not big on the commercial side of things we really just enjoy being with family and friends throughout the weeks.
While the kids are on Christmas break from school we love to take advantage of our days together with activities such as surfing, fishing, camping, riding bikes and baking. Not to mention the many hours of watching Christmas movies each night. This year we enjoyed seeing "It's a Wonderful Life" as one of the church's in the area had a drive-in movie night.
On Christmas Eve our tradition is to get all dressed up for the candle-light service at our church and afterwards drive around to look at Christmas lights through out the neighborhoods then return to a nice dinner before settling down for the night. Christmas morning we are up early, the girls bake "monkey bread" leaving a wonderful aroma in the house while we share gifts with one another.
As the weather was beautiful on Christmas day we spent most of the afternoon on the beach while Savannah surfed, Richard took pictures and Mekenzie and I played.
