Seafood is such a huge part of our community in Cocoa Beach, Florida. If you live here or just visiting you should have the opportunity to try some of the freshest seafood in the world.
As for Florida's Seafood Bar & Grill, their name pretty much says it all, they are about serving up big shrimp, regular shrimp, rock shrimp, lobsters, snow crabs, scallops, and fresh oysters which are prepared over a dozen different ways. Now, that's a variety for you even if you're a picky eater and if you're not much about seafood you can always enjoy a steak, chicken or their fine prime rib.
The Place Where Shrimp Happens
Just recently our friends Bill and Kim invited us out for dinner at Florida's Seafood (one of their local choice places to eat). With the help and suggestion from Bill I ordered a plate of shrimp, fish and snow crabs. At first I told him I didn't want to do snow crabs because I always leave hungry never being able to get through cracking the legs and much less pulling out little of anything to eat. Bill said "order them up and I'll teach you how to clean out and eat crab legs and you'll love it". Sure enough he was right, I finally learned the correct way to crack open each little part of the crab without being frustrated and with having plenty to eat.
Of course I always enjoy trying a little bit of what everyone else has. Bill had ordered the rock shrimp and they were absolutely awesome! They are sweet tasting, tender and gobbed with melted butter are just perfect.
Since then, Richard and I have been back to Florida's Seafood and we especially enjoyed joining Capt. Dusty to celebrate his birthday along with many of our other Cocoa Beach friends.
