Captain Richard Bradley
Richard, Yes! that's my good looking, handsome husband and best friend. If you have ever met Richard you will immediately know that he loves life and has a great passion and vision for many things, but by far after putting God first in his life, his greatest passion is his family. Next to his family my husband loves being outdoors, fishing, snorkeling, diving, surfing, camping, biking and just about any activity he can do.
Richard grew up on the canals of Merritt Island fishing everyday from his little john boat. Since a very young boy he would travel up and down the river learning and knowing it like the back of his hand. Richard's love for fishing and being on the water lead him to become a USCG Licensed Captain allowing him to do what he enjoys for a living and he is quite successful.
When Richard is not out fishing with clients he is with his family. All of his outdoor activities from growing up are what we are about as a family. Having children is something Richard is so amazed by and the love he has for his girls is beyond anything he ever imagined. Richard is the greatest father to our girls, he always talks with them and is involved in their everyday life. Richard makes things fun in life even if it is just driving along the road we'll find him pulling off to show us wildlife that he spotted or to pickup some sort of creature. It's not just all about the outdoors with his girls, he enjoys his girls being girls and will go along to buy makeup, have their nails done, shopping for an outfit for them, or he enjoys picking up sushi and having lunch with his girls at school, what more could you ask for in a dad.
Even though Richard loves his children and will do anything for them he always puts me, his wife, first in his life and loves me like no one else ever could. Richard and I met at First Baptist Church on Merritt Island in 1988 and were married in May of 1990. Richard is five years older than me (that's a huge difference when you are still in high school) however, he remembers me in my tiny bikinis on the beach at Holiday Inn which was the hang out place for us kids in school. He was the age of my older sisters and I was just a young teenager. After the beach days it wasn't until I was twenty-one that we finally met. Richard was definitely the guy every girl was after, but I was the one he choose right from the start, and he had me hook, line and sinker!
Richard is the kind of guy that loves life, when we met he was crazy and loud about everything he did, he would always be yelling out the car window just to say hello to someone on the street, he never meets a stranger. Maybe over the years that part of him has calmed down a little or perhaps he's just grown up some. Being married to Richard has been a blast, not to say we haven't had our moments, but we love spending his days off together, whether we are out fishing, walking on the beach, relaxing in our backyard or he is taking me out to buy me a new outfit, he always lets me know that I am the love of his life. We also enjoy working on projects around the house, fixing up our home and making our backyard a place where we can relax and enjoy family and friends. Richard always has ideas going on in his head and once his mind is set on a project he has it completed in a day or so, there is no waiting around or wondering how it may be done, it just gets done.
Richard is the love of my life and I am so grateful to have a husband that truly loves me and really looks forward to spending each day with me.
You're Awesome!
