It's always such a pleasure to see Captain Stanley. When his boat is in the slip you will either find him at the cleaning tables or on the end of the dock with a smile on his face. Stanley has worked on charter boats since high school and one thing is definite, this guy loves to fish and he has got to be one of the most consistent captains I know. Stanley likes to see people enjoy a great fishing trip. If his customer gets excited then Stanley gets really pumped up.

One thing we all know about Capt. Stanley is that he will be fishing every Wednesday whether anyone else is out or not. He has a crew of four guys that have been fishing with him for many years, they are called the "Wednesday Crew". These guys are great friends and have the time of their life every week. I am dying to go fishing with them one Wednesday but these guys are so tight and take their fishing very seriously that I'm not sure if they'll have me along on board.

Stanley's Wednesday Crew

Actually, I have never personally met these guys but constantly hear things about them and how much fun they have together. So, here is a little about who they are known for "the crazy drinking team with a fishing problem."

Every Wednesday of the year, Capt. Stanley is ready and prepared to take his crew out. The dedication Capt. Stanley and these guys have is known by all, you will find them out a day or days ahead of time catching bait to prepare for their trip. They will fish for anything biting, but mostly love to bottom fish. They are know to be some of the best at catching grouper, snapper and amber jack.

Each one of the crew members contribute to their fishing problem in different ways. For instance, there is Mark, not a single person around can catch a gag grouper better than this guy. Secondly, there is another guy named Mark, actually they call him bag man because it seems that he has the abilities to somehow get fish to bite even when they don't want to bite. Then you have Steve and they say he is just a fishing machine, whatever he has on it's getting in the boat no doubt. Lastly, there is Tony and he holds his own with these guys but the job he has been given on this boat is quite simple, he is the one that clears the beer out of the fish box to make room for the fish.

As you can see these guys are not only serious about their fishing, but they love spending the day together and having a blast.
