At the end of the day after the fish are cleaned and the boat is taken care of you'll find Capt. Brent and all his friends hanging on the docks having a beer in front of the Obsession, it's the place to be.
The Obsession Fishing Charters out of Port Canaveral
Gotcha... I'm going just as fast as my boat will go. My good friend, Captain Brent, he knows where he's going and just where to catch those fish. This guy doesn't need a way point on the GPS to follow the arrow to the spot all he needs is two numbers and your steaming full ahead to the best fishing grounds off of Port Canaveral or maybe if you're lucky straight to Brent's honey hole.
Captain Brent he's the guy, Mr. Port Canaveral himself. Listening to him on the radio years before I ever met Captain Brent I always enjoyed the conversing and joking among captains throughout their work day. Of course, who was the ring leader, it was always Capt. Brent aka Brentwood or Hollywood. As many names he's been given I think he has many more sayings I constantly hear on the docks day in and day out from him and all his friends. Things like "what's the plan", "you're killing me", "fine as kind" "your hair looks nice", "your what hurts?", when one of my hottie friends walks by it's "shockalocca"......... Being around Capt. Brentwood there's never a dull moment, he'll keep you laughing or cheer you up when you most need it, he's the life of the party and definitely the one you want to grab on the dance floor!
You will find Captain Brent out on the water more than anyone else. It's not just because he's fun and one of the best offshore captains but he's been at this since he was a young boy and has chartered out of Port Canaveral for over twenty years. Whether it's cobia fishing, dolphin, king fishing, or whatever's out there to be caught, Captain Brent is on it like "white on rice" (another one of his sayings). His knowledge and experience along with being easy to get along with always makes for a successful day on the water.
In the fall Capt. Brent will do some occasional commercial king fishing. Last fall he took my husband and I out for the time of my life, check out my king fishing day on the charter boat Obsession.
If Captain Brent is not fishing he is probably in the woods hunting at his home in Alabama. As much as he works, Captain Brent still takes time to enjoy what he loves doing most when he is off the water. He's an excellent bow hunter and will wait patiently all day for that perfect opportunity while enjoying every bit of wildlife and nature surrounding him. Brent tells me he loves the crisp cool air and sitting by the fire in the evening relaxing while being away from his everyday fishing life.
For the time I've known Capt. Brent, I've learned alot about him, whether it's hunting in Alabama or fishing off of Port Canaveral, he's always gonna make it a good experience. |
