Dustin Rapp of the Sea Leveler
Port Canaveral, Florida
Captain Dusty runs the Charter boat Sea Leveler which is docked at Sunrise Marina in Port Canaveral and owned by his brother, Capt. Greg Rapp. If you can't catch Dusty early in the morning on the docks before he heads out for the day you will more than likely find him in the late afternoon on the docks preparing for his night time shark fishing trips. When someone wants to shark fish, the Sea Leveler is the boat you better be getting on, cuz these guys are the shark fishing guys. Of course that's not all they fish for. Anything from bottom fishing to some of Dusty's favorites cobia and dolphin, it's all good out of Canaveral.
Dusty is a great guy, he is young and loves life. Every time I see Dusty on the docks he is very friendly and enjoys just sitting down spending time with you. I've heard it said before that the amount of time Dusty spends in or on the water he must have gills. I don't know about gills but I do know he loves fishing and grew up with his mom basically teaching him to fish as she would take him out in their flats boat at a young age. From fishing in the river mostly as a child, Dusty has also traveled to the Bahamas and Cosmel, Mexico fishing and diving and not to mention enjoying spear fishing in the Florida, Keys.
Whether Dusty is fishing, hanging at the docks, playing Halo on the x-box, or enjoying a meal, he is happy and life is good. Now there is one thing to know, that is Dusty surely loves a good meal and isn't shy when it comes to feeding his appetite. He can make anyone feel as though they have cooked and prepared the best meal of his lifetime. Two of his favorite places to eat out is Thai Thai Sushi Bar and Florida Seafood located just as you enter into Cocoa Beach. He is yet to take me to share a meal together, but is still promising that he'll be the first to take me since I haven't eaten at Florida Seafood. The evenings that Dusty is not working he likes going out with friends to a few local places around like the Pool hall on Merritt Island, Fishlips at Port Canaveral or even go over to different clubs in Orlando.
