Another on of those windy days that my hubby and many of the charter captains are off the water. Capt. Alex along with a friend stopped by, a few of us had lunch and a couple rounds of darts. Alex is a charter captain of the Ofishal Business at Cape Marina out of Port Canaveral. Like all of us when the wind is blowing and the seas are rough we all look for something to do to keep us busy so hanging together works well.
Alex grew up in Satellite Beach and attended a Catholic College in Miami, Barry University, where he received his bachelors degree in Computer Science as a Network Engineer. He has worked on several projects at West Point. Alex may be a computer wiz, but his real passion is being on the water fishing. In 1999 he acquired his US Coast Guard license allowing him to become a charter captain. He has enjoyed traveling to the Bahamas, Cuba, Jamaica and Bermuda fishing all over and his favorite fish to catch is a marlin.
Capt. Alex is a pretty laid back even though he told me he is a 100% Italian which is a little hard to believe since I've never seen him loss it or blow off the handle. He just enjoys the outdoors whether he is ocean fishing or hunting on the St. Johns River for duck, deer or pigs, he's happy.
It's great having friends like Alex near Port Canaveral that can stop by and share the day just doing his "Ofishal Business".
