Crafts with Shells

This is a photograph of a jar of shells on my piano at home. I love a simple jar with shells or in a vase with flowers as displayed on the right. I often go shell collecting while I'm watching the surfers in Cocoa Beach and Sebastian Inlet. It's a great way to pass time and you find some really interesting things while beach combing.

Shell collecting on Playalinda Beach is exceptional and you get a great tan while treasure hunting for shells and things.

Simple shell collections can turn a home into a pottery barn look without spending alot of money.

Our house in Cocoa Beach has a real beachy feel with alot of privacy. We have several shell collection jars around the house that are easily made and look great with flower combinations and mermaid tears.

Collecting shells is best done after storms and at low tide. It's also best to be the first one on the beaches in the morning so you get the very first pickings.
