Florida Activities
With my husband, Captain Richard and I owning and running our own business that is in the service industry, every week I talk with and are in contact with hundreds of people that are planning to visit Florida. The first question they ask me is what's there to do in the Cocoa Beach and Orlando area. My response to them is that there is always something fun to do here. That is one of the reasons why I have created my web site so that you can get a feel for many of the activities and things to do while visiting the Space Coast.
Of course, there are the attractions and theme parks. But, that can get expensive, and after awhile, even the most popular roller coasters and thrill rides lose their appeal especially after spending a few days walking around and standing in lines.
There are literally hundreds of unique places to go and fun things to do in Central Florida, and many of them will cost you little to nothing. Here are just a handful of suggestions to get you started. Whether you're looking for family fun on a budget or activities geared to the younger crowd hopefully you will find something for all of you.
Coasting along CentraI Florida there is seventy-two miles of Atlantic shoreline known as Florida's Space Coast. One of the more remarkable characteristics about the Space Coast is its number of public beach parks, which stretch from Titusville to South Melbourne and Sebastian Inlet. Living here and being surrounded by water and the ability to be outdoors year round there are an endless amount of activites you can enjoy from fishing, kayaking, camping, surfing, kite boarding, hiking, rollerblading, and the list goes on and on....
Always looking for a place to feed your appetite is an essential. There are restaurants and fast food joints on every corner. However, I'll introduce you to some of our favorites, although we don't eat out very much we like to try different places. As evening time comes and you're looking to enjoy the nightlife getting out on the town you will find many fun places from Cocoa Beach to Melbourne Beach and of course only forty-five minutes away the "big city" Orlando always has much to offer.
May your time spent enjoying Florida's activities on the Space Coast and Central Florida be an experience that will have you coming back every year, not just once but maybe two or three times!
