Teenagers Enjoy a Day of Partying at the Beach

Every year our daughters have and end-of-year party where all their friends come to the house and walk down to the end of our street to let off steam after a long school year and prepare for their summer fun.

Both of our kids go to a Christian School located on Merritt Island Florida Savannah's ninth grade class blew out the old year and christened the upcomming sophmore year with a BBQ and Beach Party. While not endorsed by the school, this beach party allows the girls to slip into their bikinis (only one pieces allowed at school functions), play loud Rock and Roll music, dance and generally do everything a teenager likes to do.

This years party was graced by two teachers that are favorites amoung the students... Mr. Chupka (math) and Debbie Christianson (Coach and Phys Ed). "I think those two teachers needed the party as much as the students" responded one mother as she watched both teachers interact with the students.

Having a beach party is easy and fun when there's kids involved. An old rope for a tug-a-war, some hula hoops, boogie boards, surfboards and food on the grill with a cooler of ice cold beverages provides kindling for teenagers. Add some energy drinks and the fun really begins but they crash land at the end of the day (perfect for moms and dads).

Teenagers just like to have fun and when they're with each other the good times just roll without any fanfare. Basically food and drinks and they'll find a way to make things happen.
